Mu Pi Chapter

Serving Greenville, SC and surrounding counties

The Quette Club of the Mu Pi Chapter of Omega Psi  Phi  Fraternity, Greenville, South Carolina, was organized in January, 1976, at the home of Brother John and Quette Rosephine McCarroll.

The club has been very active for the last twenty-nine years.  Meetings are held every third Saturday of the month.  Each Quette serves as the hostess for the monthly meeting.  The Quettes meet, fellowship and have a meal at each meeting.  Some of the main activities during each year include a Soul Food Dinner for Ques and Quettes; an Annual Picnic for Ques, Quettes and Children; and a Christmas Social for the Ques and Quettes.  The Club also provides “Christmas Cheer” for a family during the Christmas Holidays.  The Quettes are also very supportive of the Ques and their functions, such as the Mardi Gras, the Annual Fish Fry, the Achievement Week Program, etc.  The Quettes have also served as hostesses during the Omega District Meetings when they were held in Greenville, South Carolina.

The Quettes are a close-knit group of ladies who are very good friends--and not just the wives and widowers of Mu Pi Chapter Omegas.  Love and support are definitely shown among these ladies.

Our active charter members are Maudelle Bing, Dee Code, Dot Dyches, Rotchie Gardner, Jannie Hill, Rosephine McCarroll, Rosa Newsome, and Carolyn Peden.  Other active members are Earlina Adams, Michelle Beasley, Belita Broadus, Margaree Crosby, Cheryl Fisher, Mamie Garrett, Marcelina Goodlett, Martha Gregory, Doris Hill, Linda Jones, Maggie McDaniels, Peggy Munroe, Marion O’Neal, Ruth Perkins, Marla Sweeney, Neicey West, Genice Williams, Geraldine Williams and Priscilla Winters.

The current officers of the Quette Club are Geraldine Williams, president; Dee Code, vice president; Earlinda Adams, secretary; Marion O’Neal, assistant secretary; Rotchie Gardner, treasurer; Marcelina Goodlett, chaplain/historian; and Martha Gregory, custodian.
