A HISTORICAL PROSPECTIVE OF MU PI CHAPTERBrother Ernest E. Just wrote in the first issue of the Oracle (Spring 1919), “These times demand clean men of clear vision, of straight thinking, of unselfish doing, and every Omega man must accept this challenge. Out of groups like ours, men who know and feel the utmost fidelity, liberty, and fraternity must come to the world absolution.” It was in this spirit and idealism that Mu Pi Chapter, Sixth District, of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. was born. Under the leadership of Brother S. T. Peden and Alphonso Allen with the guidance, representation, and collaboration of then Sixth District Representative Charles Brooks, Mu Pi Chapter was chartered March 9, 1974 with 28 brothers.
